Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Selector in Columbus, OH. The role supports our cold storage facility operations, loading and unloading pallets, and moving goods between docks and warehouse areas on a Monday–Friday schedule from 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

You will verify documents, operate a reach truck and pallet jack, and ensure accurate inventory handling. We offer paid holidays after 90 days, health benefits, tuition assistance, and more to support your career growth.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and lift 50 pounds or more.
• 1 year of distribution warehouse experience preferred (not required).
• Must read/write/understand English at a level sufficient for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse.
• Move product within the warehouse across Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer areas and others.
• McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves.
• Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product.
• Hand-stack product when items are off balance or misplaced.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Clean work area and perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay rate: $21.75 per hour, 100% Production - $25.30 per hour, with potential of additional pay incentives.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start Time: 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm
• Position is located in a cold storage facility and requires prolonged exposure to cold temperatures.

What you'll do as a Warehouse Selector:

• Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse.
• May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others.
• McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you.
• Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
• Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more.
• At least 1 year of distribution warehouse experience, including operation of reach truck, pallet jack, and forklift is preferred, but not required.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
