Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring Warehouse Selector to pick product, load trucks, and move items within the warehouse. The role operates in Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer areas as needed, with training pay and potential incentives.

Candidates must be at least 18, able to lift 50 pounds, and read/write English sufficient for safety and instructions; prior warehouse experience preferred but not required. Benefits begin after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
• English reading/writing sufficient to perform tasks safely and follow instructions.
• Warehouse experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Select product and load trucks, moving between loading dock and warehouse.
• Move product within the warehouse and operate in Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer areas.
• Review documents, verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack for selection and stacking.
• Hand-stack when items are off balance or mislocated.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay rate: Training - $20.10 per hour, 100% Production - $23.00 per hour, with potential of additional pay incentives.

• Will work Sunday's 9 am start

What you'll do as a Warehouse Selector:

• Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse.
• May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others.
• McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you.
• Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
• Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more.
• At least 1 year of distribution warehouse experience, including operation of reach truck, pallet jack, and forklift is preferred, but not required.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
