Job summary

PortCity Logistics Inc. is seeking a Site Security Specialist to protect assets and safeguard materials at our Port Wentworth facility. You will control access, enforce standards, monitor for risks, and investigate incidents to prevent theft and ensure safety.

You will also monitor entrances, manage documentation, respond to emergencies, assist employees and drivers, and maintain professional interactions with visitors. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Professional communications skills, verbal and written, and ability to interact with diverse groups.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the property and secure facility and grounds as directed
• Enforce company standards and policies
• Monitor for potential security issues and risk vulnerabilities
• Investigate and report security incidents
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of trailers/containers, employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Ensure accuracy of documentation to prevent theft or damage of property
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Provide assistance to employees, truck drivers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
