Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Sanitation Associate to primarily clean the distribution center, operate floor scrubbers, and support routine maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, hygiene, and adherence to HACCP/SQF policies within a large, US-wide food distribution network.

Qualifications

• Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow HACCP and SQF policies and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness across warehouse areas including floors, restrooms, and offices
• Stock cleaning supplies and report supply needs
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies

Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubber and other janitorial equipment.
• Sweep and vacuum dock plates.
• Sweep and mop sanitation barriers.
• Empty trash bins from all locations in the cooler, grocery and loading dock, offices and break areas.
• Empty cardboard and plastic recycling and compact.
• Keep areas free of debris such as wood fragments and paper.
• Remove empty pallets and clean/mop slots.
• Discard leaking product and log reconditioning.
• Report policy violations to supervisor or lead.
• Follow HACCP and SQF procedures as appropriate.
