Job summary

Core-Mark in Michigan is seeking a Sanitation/Warehouse associate to perform janitorial, cleaning and sanitation tasks across dry, cooler and freezer areas. You will contribute to safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key responsibilities include following health and safety policies, reporting hazards, performing cleaning duties, handling chemicals per hazmat sheets, and completing required safety trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation tasks in warehouse areas (dry, cooler and freezer).
• Follows health and safety policies and reports unsafe conditions or acts.
• Operates pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles as needed.
• Completes required Pure Safety training modules.

Position Details

• Pay: $16/hr
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Position Purpose

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
