Job summary

Oak View Group operates the Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi as a premier entertainment venue and is seeking a Warehouse Runner to assist with inventory, receiving, transfers, and equipment maintenance for event-driven operations.

The role requires 1–2 years in foodservice/hospitality, a high school diploma, and the ability to work evenings/weekends with professional presentation. Pay is $13.00–$15.00 per hour, with part-time benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and matching.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of foodservice/hospitality experience; similar venue experience a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by local government.
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to product inventory.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Able to frequently lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with product receiving and distribution control for the venue.
  • Receive products and merchandise, check for quality and damages, and store delivered items properly.
  • Perform transfers of products to and from the warehouse.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Perform physical inventory as needed.
  • Process requests for supplies, prepare merchandise for delivery, and prepare packages for shipping.
  • Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
  • Fulfill all event expectations, including requisitioning during events, post-event breakdown, and warehouse returns.
  • Oversee stocking levels for each event; rotate and maintain product integrity.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of concession and utility equipment, portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting.
  • Ensure security of company assets.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Runner is responsible for assisting in venue distribution/warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, purchasing, ordering, lay-ins, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction, and independent decision-making skills are required.


This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00-$15.00

Hilliard Center is Corpus Christi’s premier entertainment and event complex, proudly owned by the City of Corpus Christi and managed by Oak View Group. Responsibilities
