Checker Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Receiver for the Day Shift in Maumee, OH. The role supports fast, accurate receiving and order fulfillment with scanners, pallet jacks, and conveyors to enable same-day shipping.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with typical increases after annual reviews; opportunities exist to grow to $22–$25 per hour if trained on equipment. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, and a 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Receive products by matching numbers and descriptions and place them on pallets.
• Pull, pack or receive product using scanners, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
• Assist with unloading FedEx and UPS packages from trucks.
• Move completed orders to receiving staging area using pallet jack.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report discrepancies.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies; other duties as assigned.

Pay & Growth

• Starting pay: $17.00 per hour
• Annual performance reviews with typical increases of 3% or more (some receive 4–5%)
• With solid performance, team members can grow to $22 or up to $25 per hour if trained in positions that operate equipment

Day-Shift Schedules (Monday–Friday)

• Warehouse Receiver – 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (30-minute lunch)

Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

All warehouse positions require the ability to frequently lift and move packages up to 70 lbs, stand/walk/bend/reach throughout the shift, and maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or loading experience is preferred but not required — we will train the right attitude.

Warehouse Receiver Description:

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for staging, receiving and labeling of all incoming product in a timely manner while meeting productivity requirements. Tasks also include sorting, material handling, and using a manual pallet jack.

• Accurately receive products by matching numbers and product descriptions. Hand stacks cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively from floor throughout the duration of the shift.
• Assist with unloading FedEx and UPS packages from trucks
• Place the product in a defined stacking pattern onto the pallet/cart
• Move completed order to the receiving staging area using pallet jack
• Report all product discrepancies or quality issues to supervision including damaged product, wrong product number, equipment issues, etc.
• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment to include general housekeeping warehouse duties
• Other duties as assigned
