Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Lakeland is seeking a Receiving Material Handler to join our Distribution Team. Onsite, hands-on training starts day one, teaching Havertys standards for handling quality home goods and delivering superior customer service in a team-driven environment.

The role features an overnight schedule (Sunday–Thursday, 9:00pm until completion) with starting pay of $17.00/hour, comprehensive benefits, 401K, and opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

• This position involves physically demanding work, including the manual handling and movement of furniture.
• Forklifts are not utilized in the completion of these tasks.
• Must pass Criminal Background check, Lifting Assessment, and Drug Test.

Schedule

This position involves physically demanding work, including the manual handling and movement of furniture. Forklifts are not utilized in the completion of these tasks.

Earning Opportunity

• Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift, up to 150 lbs.

• Previous warehouse experience a plus

Work Environment

• Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable.

Physical Demands

• Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
• You must have the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move furniture up to 150 pounds while unloading trucks and loading/unloading flatbeds, and utilize proper material handling techniques.
