Job summary

Stoughton in Evansville, WI is seeking a dock/receiving associate to manage daily receiving schedules, guide drivers to loading/unloading zones, and ensure accurate material labeling and documentation. The role also includes training new staff, maintaining a clean dock, and operating forklifts and cranes as needed.

The candidate will verify materials, conduct counts, and help ensure timely entry into the company computer system while following safety policies and team procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
• Ability to count accurately and measure materials.
• Strong communication and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review receiving schedule daily and plan accordingly (personnel / equipment).
• Guide truck drivers to receiving locations and schedule unloading.
• Collect receiving paperwork for entry into the computer system promptly.
• Generate accurate material labels for items entering the building.
• File and store all paperwork in an organized manner.
• Train new receiving personnel in processes and day-to-day skills.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, scales, data collection equipment and related tools.
• Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and material quality.
• Receive materials in designated locations and perform cycle/physical counts.
