Job summary

Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY is seeking a Receiving Associate to manage in-coming and outgoing receipts, inventory control, invoicing, and related warehouse tasks. You will coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries, maintain accurate electronic records, and support a smooth warehouse operation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic computer skills, 18+ years old, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have a high school diploma.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience operating power equipment preferred; certification obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Enter received items into inventory and print pallet tags.
• Make corrections to orders after they are pulled (out of stock, replacements).
• Print donor receipts for donated items.
• Categorize incoming goods (health and nutrition, culturally relevant).
• Assign inventory numbers to new items as they are received.
• Print invoices for agencies and delivery drivers.
• Schedule pick-ups and deliveries with Transportation team.
• Make daily inventory adjustments.
• Mail donation receipts to donors.
• Answer telephone calls.
• Maintain temperature logs and files.
• Create mass invoices/handbills for the month.
• Print pallet labels as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Inspect power equipment prior to use.
• Follow safety standards and procedures.
• Work with other departments in support of the Food Bank mission.
• Adhere to Employee Code of Conduct.
