Job summary

Afton Scientific is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate I to join our Materials team in Charlottesville, VA. This role supports manufacturing by receiving, inspecting, storing, and moving materials, helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient warehouse operations.

You will perform cycle counts, use forklifts, and contribute to continuous improvement within supply chain. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing

• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against appropriate documentation.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and promptly report discrepancies.
• Complete required receiving and release documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform incoming material release checks, including garment processing and tray tests.
• Store and organize materials appropriately and efficiently.
• Perform inventory transactions, material releases, and system transfers.
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Deliver packages, collect Kanban cards, and support internal material movement throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure materials are received, stored, and shipped safely and accurately.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse and loading dock areas.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities that strengthen warehouse and supply chain operations.
