Job summary

American Place Casino in Illinois is seeking individuals for warehouse receiving and distribution roles. You will perform all receiving activities, store and issue goods, and work closely with Purchasing to ensure accurate inventory and timely deliveries.

Required are a High School/GED and 1–2 years of forklift and warehouse experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Benefits include medical, dental and a 401(k) plan, with opportunities for growth within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and count incoming goods against orders.
• Verify orders for correctness and condition.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for returns.
• Report deviations from orders to Purchasing.
• Store materials in the warehouse.
• Fill orders and issue supplies on approved requisitions.
• Deliver materials to user departments.
• Maintain reports and inventory records as required.
• Assist Food and Beverage in delivering orders to kitchens.
• Keep warehouse clean, safe, and secure at all times.
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts with proper certification.

Who We Are Looking For

An individual that can perform all receiving activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distribution of goods. This individual will be responsible receives, stores, issues, deliveries, and accounts for warehouse materials.

What Is Expected Of You

• Receive, inspect, and count incoming goods against order and specifications;


• Verify against order for correctness and condition;


• Coordinate with Purchasing Department for return of goods;


• Report deviations from order to Purchasing;


• Store materials in Warehouse;


• Fill orders & issue supplies upon receipt of approved requisitions;


• Deliver materials to user department;


• Verify correctness of order with the receiving department and obtain authorized signature on warehouse receiving record;


• Prepare and maintain reports and records as required;


• Respond to request for mail orders, exchanges and other guest relations;


• Responsible for preparation of inventories and conduct periodic spot checks, pre-counts and work with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that established inventory procedures are maintained;


• Assist Food and Beverage in delivering food orders into kitchens;


• Ensure warehouse facility is kept clean, orderly, safe, and secure at all times;


• Work closely with Purchasing Department;


• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Experience You Will Need

• High School/GED


• 1-2 years of forklift experience


• 1-2 years related warehouse experience


• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Experience

• Bilingual


• CDL License

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).


• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.


• Frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling to handle and move materials.


• May be required to climb ladders or step stools to access inventory.


• Frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms to handle, move, and operate tools or warehouse equipment.


• May be required to operate pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts (with proper certification).

• Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.
