Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace in Canton, OH is seeking a Receiver to support our warehouse and quality processes. The role entails receiving mill shipments and outside processing orders, unloading via forklift, and recording all materials into our inventory system.

You will inspect materials for damage and conformity, verify mill test reports, and help keep inventory organized while coordinating with Quality and Operations to resolve issues and meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and possible certification preferred.
• Experience unloading flatbed trucks and containers.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to read and understand material test reports.
• Experience using calipers and tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming metal shipments from mills and outside processing vendors.
• Unload trucks and shipping containers using a forklift.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, correct dimensions, and quality.
• Verify mill test reports meet specifications.
• Enter shipment information into the inventory management system.
• Measure materials with calipers and tape measures.
• Complete receiving paperwork, including first article inspections.
• Manage warehouse inventory and keep materials organized.
• Update work orders with production status.
• Work with Quality and Operations teams to report and resolve material issues.
• Prioritize work to meet production schedules.
