The Ideal Group is seeking a dependable Receiver to join our Tonawanda, NY team. You will inspect shipments, verify documentation, and record deliveries while coordinating with warehouse and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

This role requires a high school diploma, warehouse experience, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel and good communication are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory roles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation.
• Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or quality concerns; escalates issues as needed.
• Accurately record all receipts in inventory management systems.
• Tag, label, and stage materials for storage or direct distribution to departments.
• Collaborate with the Crib Attendant, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to ensure accurate stocking and timely part availability.
• Use Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and maintaining stock accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and storage areas.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (training/certification provided if required).
• Follow all company safety and security procedures.
