Job summary

Elevate Human Capital is seeking a Receiver for a client in the Hammond, IN area. The role focuses on receiving, stocking, and organizing warehouse inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficient processes.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of warehouse experience, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety. This position requires the use of warehouse machinery and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• One to two years of warehouse-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
• Experience operating warehouse machinery (sit-down lift, cherry picker, reach truck).
• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist warehouse unloading trucks and checking in and validating merchandise prior to stocking.
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
• Perform systematically any inventory stocking moves to ensure system accuracy
