Job summary

Mid-State Supply in Louisiana seeks a Receiver to manage inbound deliveries, confirm contents, and route items to correct storage locations. You may help unload trucks and load orders for customers, using a bar code scanner to log product data.

This role supports the Warehouse Supervisor, participates in cycle counts, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting. A reliable team player with basic computer literacy will thrive in our busy, community-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy to input data into databases.
• Experience with barcode scanning and inventory systems is a plus.
• Attention to detail for accurate records and counts.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.).
• Submit reports to Purchasing when discrepancies are made.
• Return unsatisfactory shipments or arrange replacements.
• Label deliveries and allocate to designated places.
• Ensure invoices are signed for satisfactory deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control, cycle counts.
• Backup to Warehouse Supervisor.
