Responsibilities

Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
Records factors causing goods to be returned.
Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
Pulls orders.
Forwards approved receiving documents to the appropriate department for processing.
May drive for deliveries if needed and may check truck to verify load accuracy.
May provide on-the-job training to less experienced receivers.
