Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Receiving Clerk to handle daily receipt of merchandise from vendor trucks. You will examine shipments, record discrepancies, unload and store goods, and forward documents to the proper departments.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to safety procedures, and dependable attendance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to follow receiving procedures and ensure accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
• Records factors causing goods to be returned.
• Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
• Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
• Other duties as assigned.
