Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Receiver to handle daily receipt of merchandise and verify shipments. This role includes training less experienced Receivers and ensuring accuracy of receiving documents.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily receipt of merchandise received from vendor trucks.
• Provide training to less experienced Receivers.
• Examine shipments for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
• Record factors causing goods to be returned.
• Unload and move incoming shipments to storage.
• Forward approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
