Job summary

SRS Building Products, a unit of SRS Distribution Inc., is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Buffalo, NY. This role focuses on receiving, stocking, and distributing materials within the warehouse and branch settings to support our business customers.

Responsibilities include safe operation of forklifts, accurate counting and logging of shipments, and timely loading of outgoing orders. A high school diploma and OSHA safety knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Operator certification preferred.
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments.
• Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiar with industry-specific software applications.
• Proficient in Spanish or another secondary language.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety.
• Conducted safety audits and training sessions.
• Adaptable to changing environments and challenges.
• Basic computer skills and math for inventory counts.
• Effective time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count, verify, and unload incoming orders and shipments, logging and storing materials per standards.
• Load outgoing orders onto trucks, ensuring correct handling and documentation.
• Maintain organized, clean warehouse and yard; uphold safety and efficiency.
• Manage inventory by distributing materials to storage areas, rotating stock, reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team to support a culture of mutual success.
• Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely per guidelines.
