Warehouse Porter Position

Overview

Legends Global Alamodome, Warehouse Porter. The Warehouse Porter is an event-based, part-time position that assists in transferring and stocking concessions before, during and after events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Follow the rules and regulations of Legends Global Food & Beverage.
• Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Monitor stock levels and obtain supplies and equipment as requested by management.
• Ensure that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly.
• Perform and assist with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility.
• Ensure that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner.
• Understand the importance of prompt and efficient service and continually demonstrate this to the bartenders, servers, concession attendants and management.
• Consistently stock and organize inventory based on first-in, first-out.
• Demonstrate exceptional time-management skills and respond promptly to last-minute requests.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment standards and report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Consistently follow departmental guidelines for sanitation and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Food Handlers Permit required in accordance with the Lincoln–Lancaster Health Department.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to understand and follow direction.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicable.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Positive attitude and neat appearance.
• English preferred as primary language (not required).
• Will be in contact with chemical cleaning agents.
• Hazards include cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and tripping; frequent immersion of hands in water; frequent work in hot and damp environments.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for the entire length of shift.
• Lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves.
• Reach up to 6–7 feet, twist at waist, bend and squat frequently.
• Push and pull occasionally to move equipment, mops and brooms.
• Perform duties inside or outside the building, as needed by events.
• Regularly move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear.
