Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Operator - Picker Shift Head for a plastics manufacturer in Early Branch, SC. The role oversees picking activities and leads a shift team to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment.

You will coordinate shift staff, train new hires, monitor productivity and attendance, uphold safety and OSHA standards, maintain inventory accuracy, and collaborate with Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Operations to optimize workflow.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of warehouse experience in a continuous operation.
• Experience with WMS and RF scanning equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily picking activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse associates.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity and attendance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by following picking procedures and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control and Operations teams to optimize workflow.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment and safety practices.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
• Assist in workforce planning and scheduling based on business demands.
• Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Support investigations related to inventory variances and customer complaints.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
