Job summary

Farwest is seeking a Warehouse Person - Rebar in Vancouver, WA. The role focuses on supporting operators to fabricate reinforcing bar efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position offers a day shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm, onsite. Wage ranges from $19.75 to $30.00 per hour, DOE, with benefits and opportunities for career development. Must pass pre-employment screenings and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Previous rebar warehouse preferred but not required.
• Must be able to make mathematical calculations.
• Effectively communicate verbally with customers and other coworkers.
• Reliable, be ready to work on time daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in daily SOP work to maximize material utilization and improve flow.
• Cross train on SOPs across machines to boost process efficiency and satisfaction.
• Follow safety standards and promote a lean warehouse culture.
• Maintain housekeeping to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operate and maintain machines; report defects and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Fill in for other positions as needed.

About This Position

Job Type: Full Time, Onsite
Schedule:Day Shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Wage: $19.75 to $30.00 per hour, DOE

To safely assist Operators in the day-to-day activities enhancing their ability to accurately produce fabricated reinforcing bar in the most cost-efficient productive manner possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist operators in daily SOP work to maximize the utilization of material and increase process flow.
• Cross train on SOP’s by using all the different machines to help increase the process flow and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Practice safe department standards, safety policies, and procedures and participate in promoting a lean warehouse.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to keep a safe working environment.
• Maintain machines, perform preventative maintenance as needed and report defective material or equipment.
• Fill in for other positions as needed.
