This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from electronic order systems or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. The role may require working in various weather conditions and hours, with shift durations varying based on workload.

Responsibilities include transporting full pallets onto trailers, unloading raw materials, selecting packages for loading, maintaining pallet stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping, and handling returned products and pallets/plastic flats. The position involves lifting cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly, with constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Drive power pallet jack or forklift to pick areas and build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick equipment.
2. Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items.
3. Wrap pallets after loading.
4. Complete paperwork and verify loads before truck check.
5. Stage pallets and load into trucks.
6. Complete partial and mixed pallets.
7. Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
8. Ensure reliable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older.

Helpful Experience:

• Warehouse experience including order picking, using powered pallet jacks or forklifts, and working with racking systems.
• Forklift operation skills.
• Experience with team collaboration and problem solving.
