This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. The role may require working in various weather conditions, with shift hours varying based on workload. Responsibilities include moving full pallets onto trailers, unloading raw materials, selecting products for loading, and ensuring pallet stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. The role involves frequent lifting (20-45 pounds per case), standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching.
