Job summary

Waukesha Pearce Industries, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load and unload materials, pick parts for branches and customers, and prepare shipments. The role requires operating stand-up forklifts and handling 50 lb loads while maintaining accurate counts and records. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m., with occasional overtime as workload requires. A valid driver\'s license and acceptable driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, verify freight counts and packing lists.
• Stock parts and maintain storage space; assist at the will-call counter.

Job description

Job Purpose:Loads and unloads materials in warehouse and performs a variety of other warehouse tasks.Reads work order, shipping order, or follows verbal instructions. Loads and unloads materials into or from vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFill parts orders for branches, customers and service department.Box, pack or crate parts as necessary for shipment and prepare shipping documents.Stage outgoing shipments in designated areas, notify carries and load trucks.Fill, pack and ship annual return orders.Process a large volume of express packages daily including COD and credit card orders using a computerized UPS AND Fed-Ex system.Unload trucks, check condition of freight and verify piece count per freight bill.Unpack and check in shipments per packing list and dispense per purchase order.Stock parts in designated areas and maintain a correct stocking sequence.Arrange parts storage areas to accommodate all stock and maximize storage space.Locate parts in areas to insure efficient handling and filling accuracy.Resolve minor problems with part numbers and quantities received or shipped.Record daily volume of work completed and actual time applied to activity.Clean assigned work area daily.Assist in any department needed.Help train new personnel in the department’s duties and procedures.Assist with maintaining department files and logs.Assist at will call counter if needed.Promote good welfare among the company and its’ divisions.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Must High School Diploma or equivalent.Must have 1 year(s) of previous experience.Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s)Must have working knowledge of the above-titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its’ objectives.Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company.Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company.Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance company standards.
