Job summary

Petco is seeking a warehouse/housekeeping-focused Equipment Operator to support store and distribution operations in Cranbury, NJ. The role involves loading, unloading, picking, packing, and stocking merchandise, with paid training provided.

The job requires lifting up to 50 pounds, basic math, and the ability to obtain forklift certification. Friday–Sunday shifts and overtime as needed are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
• Basic math proficiency.
• Ability to repetitively lift and/or move merchandise up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass required certification in order to operate powered material handling equipment.
• Forklift certification or ability to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Repetitively places and pulls merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds to and from storage locations, using a handheld device or pick system.
• Receives, picks, packages, loads and moves merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds for shipment using pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Replenishes inventory stock.
• Performs inventory activities and counts, comparing to records.
• Unloads incoming shipments and loads outgoing trucks with merchandise using material handling equipment.
• Arranges merchandise to be staged or stocked to maintain inventory levels.
• Packages merchandise for shipment with correct labels.
