Job summary

Petco in Cranbury, NJ is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator to pull, stock, and move merchandise using powered equipment. You will also help replenish inventory and prepare items for shipment. Training is provided, and forklift certification is preferred.

Typical schedule is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:30am–7pm, with overtime as needed. Petco offers Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401K with matching, stock purchase, PTO and store discount.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
• Basic math proficiency.
• Ability to repetitively lift and/or move merchandise up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass required certification in order to operate powered material handling equipment.
• Forklift certification or ability to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Repetitively places and pulls merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds to and from storage locations.
• Receives, picks, packages, loads and moves merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds for shipment.
• Replenishes inventory stock.
• Performs inventory activities counting material, equipment, merchandise or supplies.
• Unloads incoming shipments and loads outgoing trucks with merchandise.
• Arranges merchandise to be staged or stocked in storage locations to maintain inventory levels.
• Packages merchandise for shipment with correct labels.
