Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Palletizer for our Distribution Center in North Kingstown, RI. The role builds pallets to company standards, using pallet jacks and RF scanners, with a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday schedule.

The position requires training with powered equipment and the ability to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets. Proficiency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Powered Equipment Training Program required
• Splitting Area Training Program required
• Operate powered industrial equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to standards
• English speaking with Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle pallets through activation, storage and closing cycles
• Build, stack, wrap, run, and sort pallets per standards
• Load/unload freight safely and efficiently
• Operate and inspect walkie talkies and pallet jacks
• Complete RF scanning, consolidation, and documentation
• Sort merchandise to store groups or designated areas
• Label and date merchandise with IDs and packing info
• Maintain clean, safe work area meeting safety standards
• Follow SOPs and OSHA standards
