As a Warehouse/Shipping Associate, you will prepare customer orders for shipping, build and seal shipments, perform basic quality checks, and maintain organized workstations. Forklift certification is preferred; on-site in Swedesboro, NJ.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Mathematical skills: Basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Reasoning ability: Follow simple instructions.
• Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Certifications: Forklift certification preferred.
• Other abilities: Ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

Job Function

Prepares customer orders for shipping and helping with production by performing the following essential duties.

Essential Duties

• Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
• Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
• Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
• Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.
• Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements.
• Properly stencils shipping information as required.
• Provides maintenance and keeps records of all equipment assigned.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.

Required Skills

• EDUCATION:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• REASONING ABILITY:Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• CERTIFICATES:Forklift Certification, Preferred.
• OTHER ABILITIES:Ability to work irregular hours.
