Job summary

Itape in Chicago, IL is seeking a Packer to support the Operations team in packaging and preparation of products for shipment. The role requires standing for long periods, manual lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing quality checks to ensure product integrity.

As an hourly position in a manufacturing environment, you will collaborate with machine operators and supervisors to meet quality standards and production targets while maintaining a safe work area and adhering to lean manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Removes finished products from the machine, places product labels, packs item in bags and cartons, and places finished product in proper location as per specifications.
• Performs advanced quality checks, and effectively communicates with operator and supervisor to ensure that finished products are made to required quality specifications.
• Aids in the proper and effective operation of the machinery.
• Willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including to cover lunches and breaks as required.
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

• Willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including to cover lunches and breaks as required.
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience
