Job Summary
Under general supervision, the associate will accurately and efficiently select products in the warehouse. Prepare products for shipping by stacking in an orderly and stable configuration, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
- Attach labels on product.
- Operate an electric pallet jack (2-pallet length) to move to the correct slot location and transport products to the dock area for staging.
- Handle products with care.
- Report any damage of merchandise, equipment, or facilities to a supervisor.
- Perform daily equipment checks.
- Assist in cleaning the facility and sign off on the assigned areas.
- Sign in and out for all equipment used.
- Use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
- Adhere to GMP, personal hygiene, and SQF policies as outlined in the Food Safety Training Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 0-1 year relevant work experience.
- Frequently lift products weighing 10-75 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
- Constantly bend and twist while operating equipment.
- Work in extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
- Stand for 10-12 hours daily.
Preferred Requirements
- 1 year experience operating electric pallet jacks or forklifts.
- 1 year warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
- 1 year selection experience.
- 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
