Job summary

The Building Center, Inc. is hiring an Order Puller in Columbia, SC. You will pull orders for delivery and assist walk-in customers, operating a forklift and maintaining accurate ticketing for correct shipments.

Responsibilities include staging orders, daily equipment checks, and communicating stock issues to Dispatch. A high school diploma or GED is required, with safety and reliability emphasized in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in a safe, courteous manner.
• Pull assigned orders for delivery.
• Place orders in staging area and mark tickets for correct product shipment.
• Perform daily forklift and area checks and report malfunctions.
• Notify dispatchers if products are out of stock.
• Keep shipping and warehouse areas clean at all times.
• Ensure all tickets are complete before turning in.
