Job summary

Palmersdirecttoyou in Rochester, NY is seeking a Warehouse Order Picker for the overnight shift. You will select, palletize, and prepare cases for delivery, operate pallet jacks and stock pickers, and ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year warehouse experience, ability to lift 40–60 lbs, and endurance for cold environments. Sunday–Thursday, 6:30 PM to finish, with competitive hourly pay and incentives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience loading and selecting merchandise in a warehouse.
• 1-2 years’ experience with electric power equipment.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills to identify products and mark them for delivery.
• Ability to understand the slot‑sequencing layout of the warehouse and product labels.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures in refrigerated, frozen, and dry picking locations.
• Ability to follow instructions to work safely and accurately using company equipment.
• Ability to lift products weighing between 40-60 lbs.

• Selects, assembles, palletizes, and otherwise handles cases, boxes, bags, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, proteins, and related products as identified on pick tickets, in the quantities specified, for delivery
• Safely operates pallet jacks and stock pickers
• Accountable for meeting productivity, accuracy, and safety work standards
• Assists with training and development of new associates

Salary

• 19.00/ hour plus a performance incentive

Shift

• Sunday – Thursday 6:30 PM – finish (up to 6:30 AM)

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit, operate warehouse
• Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods with temperatures reaching -10
• Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors
• Possess fluent speech in English, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions
