Job summary

Stoltzfus Quality Meats (SQM), now under John F. Martin & Sons, is hiring for a FIRST SHIFT Warehouse – Order Picker in Gordonville, PA. The role focuses on accurately gathering customer orders in a cold-storage environment and preparing items for shipment.

Hours are 5:30 am - 2:30 pm with some mandatory overtime. Benefits are available after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry items and stand for extended periods.
• Adapt to a refrigerated environment and routine OT when required.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders from inventory and label products clearly.
• Prepare pick sheets and assist loading/unloading for shipment.
• Verify outbound shipments and ensure product integrity.
• Operate equipment like forklift or pallet jack to move goods.

We are hiring for a FIRST SHIFT – Warehouse – Order Picker

Hours are: 5:30 am - 2:30 pm (with some mandatory OT)

Summary/Objective

The warehouse order picker position is responsible for safely and accurately gathering customer orders. Must be self-motivated to select orders accurately and at an efficient pace. The order selector will pull cases and palletize them in the order specified to provide the best customer service.

Essential Functions

• Manage all pick orders and provide correct labels on products, prepare pick sheets for all orders, and assist personnel to load and unload all containers for export.
• Verify all outbound shipments and ensure all damage-free goods are provided with accurate labels on all products prior to shipment.
• Handle and operate all mechanical equipment, such as forklift/pallet jack, and process all orders effectively.
• Organize all orders for shipment and operate all shrink wrap machines and various material handling machines effectively.
• Evaluate all amounts of orders and ensure proper weights are entered for products on the shipment.
• Maintain an optimal level of security at the warehouse and prepare all paperwork for various agencies.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the warehouse order picker is frequently exposed to a refrigerated warehouse environment (34°F) and to operating powered industrial equipment.
