Job summary

Danone North America in West Jordan, UT is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support our yogurt manufacturing plant. The role requires forklift operation and adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards in dry materials or refrigerated warehouses.

Job description

Danone is looking for a Warehouse Operator in West Jordan, UT. This role supports our yogurt manufacturing plant in the dry materials or refrigerated warehouses and requires forklift operation. The position follows a 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule, working days 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM and nights 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, with possible nights, weekends, or holidays to support 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to stack, store, move, pull or prepare raw materials, finished goods, and used materials between departments or into and out of coolers.
• Load/unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper stock rotation.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report quality concerns.
• Record and retrieve information in the warehouse management system.
• Read and interpret safety, equipment operation, maintenance, procedure, and daily paperwork documents.
• Conduct nightly pre‑operational checks on all material‑handling equipment; maintain and organize items to standards.
• Use radio‑frequency equipment for receiving, put‑away, and loading.
• Perform operations in a manner that promotes safety, complying with OSHA, MSDS, SOPs, QARs, ISO, and plant rules.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized work area.
• Execute other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and twist frequently.
• Use fine motor skills to handle tools and controls.
• Lift repetitively from 10–50 pounds, occasionally >50 pounds or team lifts.
• Climb stairs or ladders when required.
• Work up to a 12‑hour shift in a moderate‑noise production area.
• Endure outdoor exposure to cold, wet, or humid conditions; occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, or loud noise.
• Work in high or precarious places and be aware of electrical shock or vibration hazards.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay: $23.48/hr (+ $1.25/hr shift differential for night shift). After a 90‑day probation, base pay increases to $26.09/hr (+ $1.25/hr night shift).
