Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Operator II in Warehouse & Distribution Operations at our Houston, TX site. This role focuses on complex warehouse tasks, storage optimization, and coordinating inbound/outbound logistics to ensure efficient product flow and compliance with SOPs.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and experience with forklifts, RF systems, and SAP. The schedule features rotating 12-hour shifts, onsite work, and strong safety and quality emphasis.

This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

Operator II, Warehouse & Distribution Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks to ensure efficient warehouse and distribution processes. You will optimize storage, manage material flows, and ensure safety.

Specifics include:

• Handle complex manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth processes
• Optimize storage space and material flows
• Coordinate and execute inbound and outbound logistics activities, including coordination with warehouses and other relevant parties
• Operate equipment, making minor decisions as needed
• Enhance technical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training
• Support business performance through accurate task completion and commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance

What You'll Bring to Alcon

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• Work Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3 days one week, 4 days one week)
• Work Schedule: Thursdays 4:15AM - 3:45PM | Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays 4:15AM-4:15PM
• Work Location: Onsite - Houston, TX

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Prior experience of equipment handling (Forklift)
• Basic RF knowledge
• Basic SAP experience
