Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Hopewell, VA is seeking a Warehouse Operator I to handle order picking, putaways, and shipping/receiving, following ISO procedures and SAP WM.

Responsibilities include processing SAP picks, stocking, preparing shipments, inbound receipts, and maintaining inventory accuracy while using RF scanners and adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
1+ years experience in all phases of warehouse operations, preferred.
Forklift Certified, preferred.
Knowledge and/or experience with computer applications.
Basic math skills, must be able to physically lift 50 pounds and manipulate packages of 115 pounds.

Responsibilities

Process order picks in SAP by grouping and selecting orders accurately and on time to meet shipping requirements.
Complete stock putaways and material staging by moving raw materials to production areas and placing finished goods in assigned warehouse bins.
Prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications, including labeling, documentation, secondary audits, and truck loading when required.
Receive inbound freight by matching deliveries to open purchase orders and recording receipts in SAP.
Maintain inventory accuracy through daily SAP checks, inventory counts, reconciliation, and correction of warehouse discrepancies.
Execute shipping activities by conducting final audits, posting goods issues in SAP, and verifying that outbound orders ship on schedule.
Use warehouse technology and follow compliance requirements, including SAP warehouse-management functions, RF/barcode scanners, ISO procedures, and hazardous-material shipping regulations.
Maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace by following operating procedures, using required PPE, reporting incidents and unsafe conditions, and supporting continuous safety improvement.

The Warehouse Operator rotates in all warehouse functions including: Order picking, Putaways, Order prep, and shipping/receiving,. Must follow ISO procedures in all phases of warehouse operations. Performs SAP functions with-in the WM module. Knowledge of IATA, IMDG and 49 CFR hazardous regulations for shipment of materials. Practices company safety standards at all times.
