Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (T.G. Lee Dairy) is hiring a Warehouse Operator in Ocala, FL to perform a range of warehouse and inventory tasks in a refrigerated environment. You will unload/load trucks, pick orders, scan inventories, and ensure accurate records while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role requires 1–2 years in warehouse work, a valid license, and the ability to read and write in English. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 12:00 pm–8:00 pm with a $21.50/hour base rate and comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of warehouse, distribution, or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift or related certifications may be required.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks and pallets; organize materials by product code or type.
• Store perishable goods in refrigerated areas and rotate stock.
• Fill requisitions and process orders for shipping to production or customers.
• Accurately pick customer orders and prepare for shipment.
• Inspect shipments for accuracy and record inventory movements.
• Operate a forklift and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Job description

T.G. Lee Dairy has an immediate job opening for a well-rounded Warehouse Operator to perform various warehouse and inventory tasks. Receive, process, store, move, and distribute items (products, materials, ingredients, equipment, supplies, etc.) within a warehouse or cooler/refrigerated environment. Unload and load trucks, truck trailers, cases, pallets, stacks, etc. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or electric hand truck. Record received and shipped items. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Work within clearly defined processes and tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated area
• Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouse
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other items and distribute to production workers
• Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and for efficient loading onto trucks/trailers
• Check all information for accurate shipment of customer orders; check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received; check products for cleanliness and condition prior to loading
• Use computer to accurately scan or enter/maintain inventories and records
• Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backs
• Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required
• Monitor materials, product, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities or concerns to supervisor
• May sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units
• May mark or put identifying labels on product loads
• May operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to another
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

• 1 to 2 years of warehouse, distribution, production, or related experience
• Valid driving license is required
• Certification and/or License - may require forklift, walk behind jack, or other related work certifications
• Able to work in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse/cooler team
• Able to perform accurate basic math computations and inventory counts
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing (including legible writing)
