Job summary

T.G. Lee Dairy, a DFA farmer-owned brand, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to perform diverse warehouse and inventory tasks in a cooler/refrigerated environment. You will receive, process, store, move, and distribute items, unload/load trucks, and ensure accurate records and safe, organized spaces.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, maintaining stock rotation, and assisting with counts and audits. Must have HS diploma, 1–2 years’ experience, and a valid driver's license; forklift

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of warehouse, distribution, production, or related experience.
  • Valid driving license is required.
  • Certification and/or License - forklift or related work certifications may be required.
  • Able to work in a team environment and contribute to warehouse success.
  • Able to perform accurate basic math computations and inventory counts.
  • Able to communicate clearly in writing and speech (English).
  • Able to perform routine machine adjustments and adapt to changing tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload stacks and move items according to predetermined sequence.
  • Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated areas.
  • Maintain organization and rotation of stock in coolers and warehouse.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distribute to production workers.
  • Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and loading onto trucks/trailers.
  • Check bills of lading and product condition prior to shipment or receipt.
  • Use computer to scan or enter/maintain inventories and records.
  • Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backs.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Monitor materials and equipment and report irregularities to supervisor.
  • Operate forklift as needed to move inventory.
  • Follow GMPs and company safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Job description

T.G. Lee Dairy has an immediate job opening for a well-rounded Warehouse Operator to perform various warehouse and inventory tasks. Receive, process, store, move, and distribute items (products, materials, ingredients, equipment, supplies, etc.) within a warehouse or cooler/refrigerated environment. Unload and load trucks, truck trailers, cases, pallets, stacks, etc. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or electric hand truck. Record received and shipped items. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Work within clearly defined processes and tasks.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated area
  • Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouse
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other items and distribute to production workers
  • Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and for efficient loading onto trucks/trailers
  • Check all information for accurate shipment of customer orders; check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received; check products for cleanliness and condition prior to loading
  • Use computer to accurately scan or enter/maintain inventories and records
  • Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backs
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required
  • Monitor materials, product, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities or concerns to supervisor
  • May sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units
  • May mark or put identifying labels on product loads
  • May operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to another
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday-Friday: 3:00 pm until complete (typically end time is 1:00 am but can vary due to business needs)
  • Occasional weekend/holiday work may be needed

RATE OF PAY:

  • $21.50 per hour

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of warehouse, distribution, production, or related experience
  • Valid driving license is required
  • Certification and/or License - may require forklift, walk behind jack, or other related work certifications
