Job summary

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of OTC pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods. The Warehouse Operator will manage inventory movement using forklifts, handheld devices, and warehouse management systems, performing picking, staging, receiving, cycle counts, and inspections.

Requires 2–5 years of warehouse experience, forklift certification, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and basic math and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld device and forklift to pick, stage, and receive inventory.
• Perform cycle counts and put-away transactions with accuracy.
• Match picked products to packing slips and reports.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse and report safety issues.

Summary

The Warehouse Operator manages inventory movement using forklifts, handheld devices, and warehouse management systems. Responsibilities include picking, staging, receiving, cycle counts, inspections, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. Must have 2–5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in manufacturing, and be certified to operate various equipment. Requires attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to lift to 100 lbs. Familiarity with GMP and ERP systems is a plus.

Work Schedule

Monday-Thursday 12:00pm-8:30pm, Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2-5 years warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to operate a single, deep reach truck, sit down forklift stock picker, electric jack, and scissor lift.
• Effective communicator, both written and oral.
• Effective communication, organizational, time management.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required.
• Basic Math and Computer Skills.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Current forklift certification a plus.
• Experience with a WMS a plus.
• Experience with GMPs a plus

Position Responsibilities

• Fulfills responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and procedures.
• Operate a handheld device and forklift to pick and stage orders, perform cycle counts, perform put away transactions and receive transactions.
• Match product picked to packing slips and/or picked reports for accuracy.
• Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to retrieve or store material.
• Unload/load trucks, as necessary.
• Operate a handheld device to store and move material properly around warehouse.
• Produce a high volume of work and rarely make errors.
• Operate a handheld to perform miscellaneous transactions such as packing, unpacking, RMA’s, WIP Returns, organization transfers, sub transfers, pick samples and replenishments.
• Use computer to do inventory inquiries, que tasks and run inventory reports.
• Ability to check both sales orders and work orders.
• Report damage of product, storage racks, or any unsafe condition to management immediately.
• Conducts physical inventory as required.
• Verify safety inspection sheet has been completed before operating a forklift.
• Maintain tidiness and cleanliness in the warehouse, stacks, and stores materials in designated areas.
• Perform any other duties designated by the Manager/Supervisor

Physical Requirements

• Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
• Exposure to chemicals, disagreeable odors, temperature variations, and continuous standing.
