Job summary

The Tillamook County Creamery Association is seeking a Warehouse Operator to keep the warehouse and freezer areas safe, sanitary, and efficient. You will inspect pallets, stage loads, and ensure accurate inventory in D365 while supporting various shifts.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, warehouse experience, and strong math/reading skills. You’ll work with teammates and customers, and use forklift/pallet jack equipment as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Scan staged loads into the D365 system and complete the staging portion of the shipping checklist.
• Stage loads in the warehouse staging area.
• Inspect the trailer for general cleanliness prior to loading and load trucks.
• Ship products in the D365 system and complete the shipping checklist.
• Inspect and unload arriving loads of supplies or product and receive into D365.
• Communicate effectively and maintain reliable attendance onsite.

What you will do

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for keeping the warehouse and freezer areas in a safe, sanitary and efficient working order. As this role is the last set of eyes to see TCCA product prior to it leaving to customers the Warehouse Operator is responsible for inspecting all pallets of product and the trailers prior to loading ensuring that all steps to maintain an accurate database for the inventory is taken. This includes verifying the blocks on the pallet, properly staging, and shipping the load in the specialized database, D365.

Here’s a day in the life

• Warehouse production including hand scanning the staged loads into the D365 system and completing the staging portion of shipping checklist.
• Staging loads in staging area of warehouse.
• Inspecting the trailer for general cleanliness prior to loading; load trucks.
• Shipping products in the D365 system and completing the shipping portion of the shipping checklist.
• Inspecting and unloading arriving loads of supplies or product. Receiving products into D365 system.
• Good math and reading skills are required.
• Must be able to work -20 to +90 degree temperatures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and with customers.
• Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
• Must be able to work various shifts (days, graveyard, and swing), weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Reliable attendance onsite.
• Must be capable of becoming proficient in forklift and pallet jack operations.
• Must be computer literate with beginner knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. SharePoint and an ERP system knowledge such as D365 is a plus.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• High School diploma or G.E.D is required.
• Warehouse experience and/or training is preferred.
• Previous inventory control experience is a plus.
• Good math and reading skills are required.
• Must be able to work various shifts (days, graveyard, and swing), weekends, and holidays.

Salary Information

This is an hourly position with a starting wage of $22.73.

Working conditions

Laboratory: Shared workstations including testing equipment and computer terminals. Generally quiet, temperature controlled, well lighted. May include walking on uneven, slippery surfaces and encountering forklift traffic. Requires standing majority of shift, working with chemicals, walking on uneven, slippery surfaces, stooping, bending and crouching and climbing stairs and ladders. Duties may include repetitive motion of hands and lifting up to 35 pounds. Standing 50%, Sitting 25%, Walking 10%, Lifting 10%, and Climbing 5%.
