Job summary

Greene, Tweed is seeking a packaging/warehouse associate in Texas to support product packaging, loading/unloading, and material handling. You will count, label and record parts, operate packaging equipment, and move goods between departments in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires ability to read instructions, basic computer skills, and familiarity with shipping procedures. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use shipping software.

Responsibilities

  • Package product to meet customer specifications.
  • Store, retrieve, count, label and record parts and assemblies.
  • Load and unload trucks and transport materials between departments.
  • Operate packaging machines as required.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and move goods throughout the plant.
  • Follow safety policies and maintain clean, organized work area.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Must have the ability to read, understand and perform the work instructions in all operations.
  • Perform all tasks required to package product in order to meet customer specifications.
  • Store, retrieve, count, label and record all parts and assemblies and perform any other warehouse tasks.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Pack and unpack cartons.
  • Must have the ability to set up and operate all packaging machines. Pick up and deliver goods throughout the plant and transport materials within and between departments as required.
  • Ability to occasionally carry up to 50lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices.
  • Ability to operate a forklift on a limited basis
Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma/GED

Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with SAP (or comparable system) and basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to work within UPS Worldship, Fedex, DHL, Pitney-Bowes shipping software, international paperwork.
  • Familiar with shipping procedures both electronic and hard copy
