Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking a Warehouse Operator to safely perform shipping, receiving, and warehouse support in a chemical manufacturing environment.

You will ensure accurate material handling, production support, order fulfillment, and strict adherence to safety policies. Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives, receiving materials, loading/unloading, securing shipments, stacking, inventory pulling, and maintaining clean, organized storage areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Basic computer skills and ERP experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety-focused support for shipping, receiving, and operational functions.
• Receive incoming materials and verify contents against purchase orders.
• Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Inspect, package, stretch-wrap, and label shipments for secure transport.
• Prepare and document outgoing shipments.
• Unload bulk raw materials into designated storage or packaging areas.
• Pull inventory for customer orders based on pick tickets.
• Store finished goods and raw materials and maintain warehouse organization.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Follow company safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and perform other tasks as assigned.

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for safely performing shipping, receiving, warehouse functions, and production support in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate material handling, production of finished goods, order fulfillment, cleanliness, and adherence to company safety policies.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Active contributor and leader of Hydrite’s Safety Vision, Mission and Values.
• Provides consistent, safety-focused support for all shipping, receiving, and operational functions.
• Receive incoming materials and verify contents and quantities against purchase orders.
• Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Inspect, package, stretch-wrap, and band shipments to ensure proper labeling and secure transport.
• Prepare and document outgoing shipments.
• Unload bulk raw materials and intermediates into designated storage or packaging areas.
• Pull inventory for customer orders based on pick tickets.
• Store finished goods and raw materials.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Operate equipment to mix and process raw materials.
• Maintain clean work areas using appropriate equipment.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Operate digital scales accurately.
• Follow company safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

• This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse experience recommended.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, previous ERP experience a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
