Job description

Warehouse Operator

The primary purpose of this position is to handle all loading and unloading of LTL shipments on Hydrite trucks, common carriers and/or inter‑branch shuttles. It involves managing incoming and outgoing inventory correctly and packaging inorganic products from storage tanks or directly from the tanker.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence by maintaining quality facilities and providing quality products and services to internal and external customers.
  • Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and other assigned duties.
  • Accurately pick freight scheduled for shipment, documenting lot numbers for the Certificate of Analysis where required.
  • Load and unload LTL and daily shuttle shipments, reviewing shipping documents to ensure accurate loading and adherence to special instructions. This may include shipment and receipt of product into PRISM.
  • Schedule and report production according to Hydrite procedures, including receipt of bulk product for direct tanker drum off’s and container preparation.
  • Inspect all inventory regularly to ensure adherence to Hydrite quality standards, rotating inventory on a first‑in‑first‑out basis and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Become knowledgeable in and comply with all areas of Hydrite work and safety rules.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor at all times, treating other employees with courtesy and respect, and ensuring all Hydrite customers receive high quality product and superior service.
  • Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with the supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
  • Work with other staff members to maintain workload balances and provide backup support as necessary.
  • Support effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
  • Work hours and backup other employees as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Keep the warehouse and inorganic production area clean and safe; report all spills immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to operate a forklift; previous experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
