Job summary

El Niño Produce Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operator for an on-site, contract role in High Point, North Carolina. You will unload shipments, organize and pack produce, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure accurate storage and efficient inventory management.

Qualifications

• Ability to unload and pack efficiently with attention to product quality and order accuracy.
• Experience with organizing, stacking, and moving inventory in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in forklift operation and use of pallet jacks or similar equipment; certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices, including lifting techniques and food handling standards.
• Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with perishable products.
• Basic math and inventory skills, ability to read labels and shipping documents.
• Capability to stand, lift, and move materials for extended periods in varying temperatures.
• Previous warehouse or produce industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and transfer to storage or staging areas.
• Organize and pack produce for orders with accuracy and speed.

Role Description

The Warehouse Operator is a contract, on-site role based in High Point, NC. This position is responsible for unloading incoming shipments, organizing and packing produce, and handling materials to ensure accurate storage and inventory. The role includes operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools in a safe and efficient manner. The Warehouse Operator will inspect products for quality, support order fulfillment and staging for delivery, and maintain a clean, organized work area. This role also follows all health and safety guidelines to protect team members, products, and equipment.
