The supervisor will coordinate work plans, monitor inventory levels, and oversee the receiving and inspection of shipments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisor role.
• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible and able to adapt to variable work demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates planning and assignment of work to maximize efficiency of personnel and equipment.
• Maintains inventory and helps establish inventory levels based on usage and demand.
• Receives shipments and enters information into tracking system for disbursement.
• Inspects deliveries for accuracy and quality and rejects undesired items.
• Supervises the warehouse and inventory to ensure security and upkeep.
• Assists in ordering from site vendors and communicates with vendors as needed.
• Develops improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency, speed, and lower costs.
• Provides training for warehouse employees and assists with recruitment.
• Uncrates shipments and manages containers and packaging appropriately.
