Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, order picking, shipping, and transportation. The role focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-efficient delivery of products to customers.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of warehousing management, strong knowledge of inventory control and safety practices, and experience with JDE/SAP/AX and WMS systems.

Qualifications

• Must have 5–7+ years of management experience in warehousing, inventory control, or materials management.
• Must have strong understanding of inventory control and safety practices.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution ability.
• Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience working with WMS systems and ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and train personnel on safety, compliance, and best practices in the warehouse environment.
• Ensure adherence with cycle count program based on ABC principles.
• Lead initiatives to implement best practices in shipping operations.
• Drive continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence.
• Define KPIs and ensure targets are met across shifts.
• Manage day-to-day shipping operations and measure on-time, in-full delivery performance.
• Investigate issues and lead corrective actions for transportation/warehousing problems.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
