Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Warehouse Assistant General Manager in Macon, GA to support the General Manager in running a busy warehouse, supervise staff, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and serve as acting GM when needed.

The role requires on-site work, forklift certification, the ability to lift 25 pounds, and a goal to meet budget and performance targets; benefits include weekly pay, 401(k) matching after 90 days, and healthcare after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have on-site availability; schedule may vary by workload.
• Experience ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in warehouse operations.
• Ability to collaborate with GM and HR on staffing decisions.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and hold valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Collaborate with GM and HR on staffing decisions and disciplinary actions.
• Report OSHA and WC incidents and time off to HR.
• Meet and exceed metrics and budget goals for the division.
• Train, supervise, and provide day-to-day guidance to division staff.
• Ensure safety and care of the division workspace.
• Communicate with the team to balance needs of MAC.BID, the division, customers, and suppliers.
• Monitor morale and drive continuous improvement.
