Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Warehouse Assistant General Manager in Macon, GA to support the General Manager and run day-to-day warehouse operations. You will help manage teams, safeguard safety, quality and efficiency, and stand in for the GM when needed.

The role requires on-site work, a driver’s license, forklift certification, and ability to lift 25 pounds (50 under team lift). A pre-employment drug test is required and 60 days health benefits start after hire.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on site with a flexible schedule (Mon-Fri 7:30am–8:30pm)
• Candidate must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team
• Must follow written directions and company policies
• Pre-employment drug test required; random drug testing during employment
• Forklift certification or in-house training/certification
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing operations to ensure safety, quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with the Warehouse General Manager and HR on staffing decisions
• Report OSHA and WC incidents and manage personnel time off
• Meet and exceed division metrics and budget goals
• Train, supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to team members
• Oversee safety and general care of the division and workspace
• Communicate effectively to balance needs of MAC.BID, division, customers and suppliers
• Assess team morale and drive continuous improvement
